Enjoyed painting this one.  The waterfall was a bit tricky to paint but got there in the end.  Really pleased with the final painting.

Spring ACEO in watercolours

I decided to paint this one in watercolours as I haven't  painted a little aceo landscape in watercolours before so thought it would  make for a nice change.  I cropped the reference photo a bit and added the flowers.  Rather pleased how it turned out.

Cruising the Canals in watercolours

This one was fun to paint.  It brought back memories of  my holiday to the UK many years ago.  I loved cruising the canals and just watching the beautiful landscape pass by.

All my Christmas shopping is done - thank goodness.  Shops were hectic as usual.   Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I actually want to paint the tulip fields I saw in Tasmania - just haven't quite worked out how to paint them yet.    I have a few ideas so something will eventually just click.

Tranquil River in Acrylics

I really enjoyed painting this one.  Love the river bank.  I added the flowers as the reference photo just had a muddy rocky area.  I am rather pleased with the end result.

When I used part of this reference photo as inspiration for my Little Buck aceo, I thought to myself that it  such a lovely scene that  I had to paint it in full.  So here it is.  I decided to paint it in acrylics for a change.

I have wanted to paint this little fellow for a while but have been looking for the right landscape setting.  I finally found it.  I am really happy how it turned out.  I actually enjoyed painting the mountains and water so I might do another painting based on the landscape reference photo.

Swans in Oils

I love the vibrant colours of the water reflections in this one.  Was fun painting the swans too.  Got me thinking that I must go and take some photos of the black swans that live on the lake just down the road from me.  Just need the weather to settle down a bit - would be nice to have a few days of just sunshine but so far this month it has been partly cloudy with showers.
