Country Stream in acrylics

I liked the placement of the tree and stream in reference photo but not the season which was a winter snow scene.  So I kept the placement of the stream and tree the same and changed the season to summer.  Really pleased with how it turned out.

I was going looking through photos from my holiday to Tasmania a few years back and come across the view of the lavender fields at Bridestowe Estate so decided to paint it.  Really pleased with how the painting turned out.

I completely changed the season for this one. The reference photo was a winter snow scene but I decided to paint it as a spring scene.  Really please with the final painting.

River in the Forest in Acrylics

This  is my acrylic version of the earlier watercolour painting I did a while back.  I cropped the reference photo so that it focused more on the waterfall, opened up the river on the right hand side and  extended the background trees.  I am really pleased how the painting turned out.  The hardest part was coming up with a title - much easier when I paint an animal or bird as they name themselves.

Tranquil River in Acrylics

I really enjoyed painting this one.  Love the river bank.  I added the flowers as the reference photo just had a muddy rocky area.  I am rather pleased with the end result.

I changed this one a little bit when compared to the reference photo - decided to paint it in the autumn colours.  Much more colourful.  I might also paint a spring version of this scene as I like the setting.

Summers Day ACEO in acrylics

I love painting these little landscapes as I am free to paint it anyway I like and in this case I did use a lot of artistic licence to create this little painting.  They are fun to paint when I need a break from the detailed paintings I do and they give me ideas for future animal aceo's scenes.  I am rather pleased how this one turned out.

Hill Top ACEO in Acrylics

I have wanted to paint this scene for a while and finally decided to paint it as an aceo.  Wasn't sure how I was going to paint the long grass and then I thought an old bristle brush should do the job.  Worked really well.
