I really had fun painting this two. My favourite one is the doggie on. I rather like the messy look of this one.

Day 27, 28 & 29 - FLower, Dog Sketch & Chocolate Icecream

These ones were quite fun to paint. I was a bit short of time for day 28 so I ended up doing a very quick sketch for the doggie but rather like how it tuned out - I rather like the messiness of it as it seems capture the quirkiness of the dog.

Maltese Pup in acrylics

I love the challenge of painting white fur.  I did quite few glazes / layers to build up the depth to the fur.  Really pleased with how this one turned.

Yorkshire Terrier in acrylics

I couldn't resist painting this cute little fellow.  I am really pleased with how painting turned out.  For this one I started off by toning the canvas (I think I used Yellow Ochre this time - I wait two weeks for the painting to cure before varnishing it so can't quite remember), blocked in the dog, painted in the background and then painted in the dog details. Works rather well.

Rottweiler Puppy in acrylics

So this was the painting that was giving me a few problems when I was painting it but I preserved and I am really pleased how this cute Rottweiler puppy turned out.   I decided to name my puppy Rocky - he is just so adorable with those eyes.   I love the affect of this one but it was rather a challenge painting black on black so it might be a while before I do another one quite like this.

Yorkie in acrylics

I have had this one printed out for ages to paint.  Just had to decide on what medium to use.  Finally decided to paint it in acrylics  on paper.    Started it off a bit like a watercolour painting with  washes and then kept adding layers. I am rather pleased how it turned out.

I have wanted to paint this one for ages.  Decided to paint it in the ACEO size - I just had to wait for my new brushes which arrived yesterday.  I really needed the smaller brushes for this one.  It is surprising how small one can paint - just need a smaller enough brush and a steady hand.
