Yorkshire Terrier in acrylics

I couldn't resist painting this cute little fellow.  I am really pleased with how painting turned out.  For this one I started off by toning the canvas (I think I used Yellow Ochre this time - I wait two weeks for the painting to cure before varnishing it so can't quite remember), blocked in the dog, painted in the background and then painted in the dog details. Works rather well.

Yorkshire Terrier measures 6  x 8 inches and is painted on Raymar Feather Lite Canvas panel.

Rottweiler Puppy in acrylics

So this was the painting that was giving me a few problems when I was painting it but I preserved and I am really pleased how this cute Rottweiler puppy turned out.   I decided to name my puppy Rocky - he is just so adorable with those eyes.   I love the affect of this one but it was rather a challenge painting black on black so it might be a while before I do another one quite like this.

Dachshund ACEO in acrylics

I loved painting this cute little guy.  I am very happy how it turned out.  I used my the smallest round sable brush (size 4/0) for the eyes which worked really well.

Dachshund measures 3.5 x 2.5 inches and is painted on Arches smooth watercolour paper.

Hiding in the Flowers ACEO in Acrylics

I have wanted to paint this one for ages.  Decided to paint it in the ACEO size - I just had to wait for my new brushes which arrived yesterday.  I really needed the smaller brushes for this one.  It is surprising how small one can paint - just need a smaller enough brush and a steady hand.

Hiding in the Flowers measures 3.5 x 2.5 inches and is painted on 300gsm smooth Arches watercolour paper.
