This one started out as a Autumn scene which was not working so I ended up adding white paint  to paint over it and somehow this painting emerged.  It was fun to paint.

A few months back I took a day trip down to the Gold Coast (about 1 hour and bit drive away).  Took a few reference  photos at Burleigh Beach and decided to paint this scene.

Love the pattern of this ones feathers.

The Coppersmith Barbet are also known as Crimson - Breasted Barbet or Coppersmith.   They are found on the Indian subcontinent and parts of South East Asia.

I love this ones feathers colours.

The Rose Bellied Bunting is also known as Rosita's Bunting,  They are found in the Mexican states of Oaxaca and Chiapas and are threated by habitat loss.

Margate Beach in acrylics

This spot is opposite a fish and chip shop that I often go to - it is on the Redcliffe peninsula and is about  15 minute drive away from were I live.  Normally the Bay is quite calm but if the wind is blowing then it can be rather choppy with larger waves which it was in this case and for once I had my camera with me so managed to get few reference photos
