Autumn Waterfall in acrylics

I haven't painted a waterfall for ages so decided to painting this lovely autumn waterfall.  Really pleased with how it turned out.

Waterfall in acrylics

I cropped right in on this reference photo.  It was a bit tricky painting so much green foliage but I am rather pleased with how it turned out.

I changed this one quite a bit from the reference photo.  I added in the waterfall which I think makes these little scene more interesting.

Fall Waterfall ACEO in acrylics

I changed this one a  bit when compared to the reference photo.   I added in the waterfall and changed the season to autumn - it sort of evolved as I was painting it. Really pleased with the final painting.

River in the Forest in Acrylics

This  is my acrylic version of the earlier watercolour painting I did a while back.  I cropped the reference photo so that it focused more on the waterfall, opened up the river on the right hand side and  extended the background trees.  I am really pleased how the painting turned out.  The hardest part was coming up with a title - much easier when I paint an animal or bird as they name themselves.

I really enjoyed painting this one.  I changed the trees to that of the autumn colours.  I think it works rather well.  It was fun painting the waterfall so I will have to look for some more waterfall reference photos that I can use.
