Scarlet Tanager ACEO in acrylics

Love the vibrant red feathers of this one.

Scarlet Tanager are a medium sized American Songbird.  The measure between 16 - 17 cm in length and weigh around 23 - 38 grams.

White Browed Blackbird ACEO in acrylics

This one was a bit tricky to paint re black feathers.  I used a  few glazes to get the depth to the feathers. 

White Browed Blackbird's are found in north-eastern Brazil and in southern South America.

Autumn River 2 in acrylics

I nearly gave up on this one.  I started it and didn't like how it was going so decided to wipe it and paint something else instead.  But after wiping it, the basic elements of the painting were still visible and I still liked the composition so decided to give it another go.  Glad that I started again as I am really pleased with how it turned out.
