Iris No 3 in acrylics

And for something different, I decided to paint a flower.  Quite a few layers/glazes went into this one to get the depth to the petals.

Iris No 3 measures 6 x 6 inches and is painted on Colourfix Smooth paper.

Iris No 2 in acrylics

The other pastel paper that I discovered that I could use with acrylics was the Pastelmat paper as it has a water resistant surface. 

I decided to try it out with this lovely flower.  It bit different to the Colourfix Suede paper but I also like the way the paint goes on - seems to go on smoother.

Iris No 2 measures 5 x 5 inches and is painted on 360gsm Pastelmat paper.

I love the different colour petals of this one.  I used quite a few glazes to get the depth and definition to the petals.

For something different I decided to paint a floral aceo.  Really pleased with how it turned out.
