I love how this one stands out from the background.  I did quite a few glazes / layers to build up the depth to the feathers and I love how it turned out.

American Tree Sparrow ACEO in acrylics

And for the next one, I a paint an American Tree Sparrow - also love this ones markings and colouring.

American Tree Sparrows are found in North America.  They measure around 14 cm in length and weigh 13 - 28 grams.

American Tree Swallow measures 2.5 x 3.5 inches and is painted on Colourfix Smooth Paper.

Black Throated Sparrow ACEO in acrylics

For this weeks bird aceo's I decided to paint some sparrows.  This is the first one a Black Throated Sparrow - I love its markings.

Black Throated Sparrows are found in South Western United States and Mexico.  They measure around 12 - 14 cm in lengh and wieh betewenn 11 - 15 grams.

Green Kingfisher in acrylics

I love how this little kingfisher is perched on the branch.  I pulled out my tube of Sap Green for the final glazes together with Transparent Yellow for the highlights.  Really pleased with how it turned out.

Lesser Kiskadee in acrylics
