Spring Cottage in acrylics

I enjoyed painting this one.  I changed the reference photo a bit by adding the pathway to lead the eye into the painting and a added a few more flowers.  Really pleased with the final painting.

Stone Cottage ACEO in acrylics

I am rather pleased how this one turned out.  I painted it on the rough watercolour paper to give the cottage a bit of texture. It was fun painting the flowers.  I enjoy painting little cottage scenes so will have go looking for some more reference photos.

Country Home in acrylics

This is my larger version of the aceo painting that I did last week.  It was interesting painting it in the larger format. It was fun painting the flowers.  I am really pleased with this painting - I can just imagine myself living there.

Country Cottage in oils

This was one of the views of the Bed and Breakfast that I stayed at when on holiday in Tasmania in 2007. It was the old railway station (built in 1838) that was used to offload supplies before they were transported to the prison site at Port Arthur.  Hence the name of the B&B is Norfolk Bay Convict Station (http://www.convictstation.com).  The Port Arthur Historic site was only a 10 minute drive away.  (http://www.portarthur.org.au).  I love visiting Tasmania - there is so much to see and do at different times of the year.
