Autumn Tree in acrylics

Originally I wasn't going to be add the rocks into the scene but when I had finished, the painting looked a bit flat so I decided it need the rocks.  I started the rocks with a palette knife and finished them off with a brush - worked really well and I like the texture it created.

Autumn Tree measures 6 x 6 inches and is painted on Ampersand Gessobord panel.

Many thanks to Robyn Lovelock for the reference photo.

Autumn Tree ACEO in acrylics

I haven't painted the little landscape aceo's for ages and since it is autumn, I decided to paint a couple of Autumn Landscapes.  This is the first one.  I just love the tree in all its autumn splendour and it was really fun to paint too.

Autumn Tree measures 3.5 x 2.5 inches and is painted on 300gsm smooth Arches watercolour paper.

Many thanks to  E. Luiza Picciano for the reference photo.
