Really pleased with how this one turned out. I did quite a few glazes to get the depth to the feathers. I used the transparent red oxide to get the reddish brown colour to the feathers. I prefer it over burnt sienna as I find that burnt sienna goes a bit pinkish when white is added.
Lanner Falcons breed in Africa, South East Europe and into Asia. They measure around 43 - 50 cm in length.
