Black Headed Grosbeak ACEO in acrylics

For the next one I painted this one - love it's colouring - added a bit of raw umber to darken the plumage which works rather well so I must remember to add it to my standard palette.

Black headed grosbeak's are found from south western British Columbia through to the western half of the US and into Central Mexico.  They measure between 18 - 19 cm in length and weigh around 47 grams.
