Brown Thornbill ACEO in acrylics

This one gave me a few problems.  It went through a very bad ugly stage before it started to take shape.  Glad I carried on working on it as I am really pleased with the final painting. 

These birds are found in eastern and south- eastern Australia including Tasmania. They are around 9 - 10 cm in length and weight on average 7 grams.

Brown Thornbill measures 2.5 x 3.5 inches and is painted on 300gsm smooth Arches watercolour paper.
