Ovenbird ACEO in acrylics

I was rather fascinated by this ones name and its interesting markings.  Its name comes from the  nest it builds as the dome and side entrance of the nest resembles that of a Dutch oven.

Ovenbirds breed in eastern North America and in Central America.  They measure between 11 - 14 cm in length and weigh between 16 - 28 grams.


Ovenbird measures 2.5 x 3.5 inches and is painted on Colourfix Suede Paper.
