Nashville Warbler No 2 ACEO in acrylics

I decided to paint another Nashville Warbler  as my first painting for 2016. I am rather enjoy painting yellow birds  so thought it was a good one to start the year with.  Really pleased with how it turned out.

Nashville Warblers are found in North and Central America.  They measure between 10 -12 cm in length and weigh between 7 - 12 grams.  An interesting fact about them is that they sometimes use porcupine quills as nest material.

Nashville Warbler No 2 measures 3.5 x 2.5 inches and is painted  on 300 gsm smooth Arches watercolour paper.

Many thanks to Bettina Arrigoni for the reference photo.
