Great Spotted Woodpecker ACEO in acrylics

I have had this one printed out for a while to paint - it just got pushed to the bottom of my ever growing pile of reference photos.  Really love how this one is perched on the branch.

Great Spotted Woodpeckers are found throughout Europe and Northern Asia.  They measure between 23 - 26 cm in length and weigh between 70 - 98 grams.

Great Spotted Woodpecker measures 2.5 x 3.5 inches and is painted on 300gsm smooth Arches watercolour paper
