Plovercrest in acrylics

I used quite a few glazes to get the colour and depth to the feathers.  Really pleased with the final painting.

Plovercrest's are a species of hummingbirds that are found in Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay.

Plovercrest measures 6 x 6 inches and is painted on 300gsm smooth Arches watercolour paper.
