Spotted Pardalote ACEO in acrylics

This is one of the smallest birds in Australia being only 8 to 10 cm in length and can be found in most parts of Australia.  They build nests at the end of  narrow tunnels.  I am really pleased how this one turned out - it all just seemed to come together.

Spotted Pardalote measures 3.5 x 2.5 inches and is painted on 300gsm smooth Arches Watercolour paper.

Many thanks to Wayne Butterworth for the reference photo.
