European Goldfinch ACEO in acrylics

This bird was actually introduced to Australia in 1860's.  Strangely enough it can be found in Brisbane but I haven't seen it here.  I have seen it in Tasmania though.  When visiting Woolmers Estate (http://www.woolmers.com.au/), there was one sitting on top of a rose bush. I managed to take a photo but the lighting was wrong and I was quite a distance from it so it does not make  a good reference photo for me to use.

European Goldfinch measures 3.5 x 2.5 inches and is painted on 300gsm smooth Arches watercolour paper.

Sold

Many thanks to Gary Jones for the reference photo.
