I had fun painting this little guy. I took the reference photo for this one down by the one of the man-made lakes in my area - I have seen three species of Fairy wrens there - Superb Fairy Wren, Red Back Fairy Wren and this one the Variegated Fairy Wren.

I took the photos of the geese years ago at property I stayed at in Deloraine, Tasmania. I always loved the pose of the one that is facing straight on but never quite got around to painting him in acrylics - he just seemed perfect for this pattern though.
I am planning on adding to this collection - I want to create a tossed version that just features the geese - just deciding if I use these three or add a few more poses into the mix
