Violet Crowned Hummingbird ACEO in acrylics

This one was rather fun to paint.  I did quite a few layers and glazes to get the depth the feathers.

The Violet Crowned Hummingbird is found in South Eastern Arizona to south western Mexico.  They measure around 10 cm in length and weigh about 5 grams.

Violet Crowned Hummingbird ACEO measures 2.5 x 3.5 inches and is painted in Colourfix Smooth Paper.
